The mission of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology McKenzie is to continue to serve as the premier provider for workforce development throughout Northwest Tennessee. Tennessee College of Applied Technology McKenzie (TCAT) will fulfill the mission by: (1) providing competency-based training through traditional and distance learning instructional delivery systems of the highest quality that will qualify individuals for employment and/or advancement in jobs, (2) Providing high-quality training and retraining of employed workers, and (3) providing high-quality training that is economical and accessible to all residents in the school’s service area, thereby contributing to economic and community development of the communities we serve.

General Admission Requirements

  • Program enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis by date of completed application. (A completed application includes all items required for enrollment.)
  • Persons seeking admission to a college must be at least 18 years of age or have a high school diploma or equivalent. For full-time programs, the applicant must declare an occupational objective and demonstrate reasonable potential for achieving that objective.
  • All persons who are required to register for the Federal Draft under 50 U.S.C. App. Section 453 are not eligible to enroll in any post-secondary school until they have registered with selective service.
