TN College of Applied Technology at McKenzie had 31 students volunteer to help with the Mobile Food Pantry in Greenfield on January 31st, 2017. The event was sponsored by Second Harvest Food Mobile Pantry of Middle Tennessee and Sacks Thrift Avenue/Sacks Food Pantry in Greenfield.
Once there, the students, along with Terry Wilson, HVAC/Refrigeration instructor at TCAT McKenzie, Jo Wallace, Financial Aid Supervisor, and other volunteers helped to unload the truck and organize the food items, then assisted in packing the food and cleaning up afterwards.
Food was distributed to approximately 200 families representing 500 persons by over 50 volunteers.
Second Harvest has a network of over 450 Partner Agencies working together to feed hungry men, women and children throughout our 46-county service area.
